ASUS N76VZ

Pros
The Asus N76VZ includes a large feature set, an Intel Core i7 processor and a 17.3-inch display screen.

Cons
Because of all the extra bells and whistles, this laptop weighs over seven pounds and is far from portable.

The Verdict: 8.85/10
The size of this laptop makes is less portable than others, but the i7 processor and dedicated graphics card give the Asus N76VZ a lot of power.

The Asus N76VZ laptop is meant to help you access all your multimedia content. The powerful LED screen emits clear and bright images that really bring the display to life, all in HD format. The speakers are also well designed and don't sound washed out. Unfortunately, this laptop is heavy and isn't built to take around in a backpack. However, if you are looking to lose the desktop but keep every bit of the desktop's functionality, the N76VZ from Asus is a powerful alternative.

The Core i7 processor, which runs at 2.3GHz, powers this multimedia laptop. Turbo Boost helps the processor reach speeds up to 3.3GHz. This third generation processor uses less energy and runs at cooler temperatures compared to others, which means more play time for you on the computer. The mid-range GeForce GT 650M graphics card works well with the high-resolution screen, and even demanding games like Battlefield 3 are playable on medium or high graphic settings.

This Asus laptop has 6GB of RAM with the option to expand to 8GB. For such a powerful laptop, we were disappointed you can't upgrade the RAM even more. The laptop comes with a 750GB hard drive with an option to upgrade to 1TB. The N76VZ has a 17.3-inch screen that is full HD with a resolution of 1600 X 900. You get a full 150-degree view of the 1080p panel. With this screen, you get very detailed and vivid images with any type of media.

This laptop computer features Wi-Fi and optional Bluetooth connectivity. There are several ports located on this device, including four USB ports and an HDMI port. There is also a three-in-one media card reader. You will also find a built-in microphone and a webcam for video chats. And there are several security features included on the Asus N76VZ, such as HDD User Password Protection and a security lock.

The Asus N76VZ features a two-year warranty on the product’s hardware. And you can reach a customer service representative through email support if you have any problems or concerns. Unfortunately, Asus lacks both phone and live chat support, and there is no user forum on their website for any additional support and assistance.
